Payments with something to check
An illustrative milestone schedule, tied to recorded work.
A sample contract, separate from the planner
The example below uses an invented S$80,000 GST-inclusive signed contract. It is unrelated to the planner reserve and is neither a quoted Sillform contract nor a market standard.
Agree the milestone
10% · S$8,000 · When the written scope is signed
30% · S$24,000 · After agreed mobilisation and material evidence
30% · S$24,000 · At the checked wet-work and first-fix milestone
20% · S$16,000 · After fitted carpentry and finishes
10% · S$8,000 · After agreed defects are closed and documents handed over
Record changes before work
A calendar date passing does not prove a milestone is complete. The written contract sets deliverables, dates and dispute handling. Agree each variation, its cost and its effect on time before the changed work starts.
Ask what is protected
If a firm offers a bond or escrow, ask for its terms and provider. Verify an account-change request through an independently verified contact. No bank details or payment controls are part of this demo.
Aftercare in writing
Record the room, observed issue, agreed responsibility, target next update and closure acceptance. Example: Kitchen door alignment; project lead to inspect; next update to be agreed; open.
Separate workmanship, manufacturer terms and excluded damage in the actual contract. No warranty duration is promised here.
