Compare quotes line by line

A worksheet for lining up two quotes: scope, quantities, GST, exclusions, milestones and who is responsible for what.

Door key, blank care folder and empty lined checklist on a pale oak table.
Illustrative, AI-generated

Put the same work beside the same work before comparing totals. This is an ungated text worksheet. It does not upload, score or rank a quote. Copy the blank rows into your own notes if useful.

One completed fictional row

Electrical | Firm A: excluded | Firm B: S$6,000 including GST, point schedule supplied | Follow-up: align circuits, points, licensed-worker scope and testing before comparing.

The firms and figure are invented worksheet examples. They are not market rates or a recommendation.

Line up the work

For each row, note Firm A, Firm B and the question still open. Check quantities and units as well as the description. A room price can include fittings while leaving its floor and tiles outside.

Keep allowances and omissions separate

Record whether GST is included. List unresolved electrical, plumbing and professional-review allowances beside unpriced exclusions. A reserve is not evidence that an omitted item is covered.

The planner is a selected works allowance based on fictional assumptions. A quotation follows inspection, material choices and an itemised written scope.

Agree responsibilities too

Compare checked payment milestones, written variation cost and timing, programme conditions, lead and backup, defect closure and documents. A low total alone does not answer those questions.

Your blank comparison rows

Copy these rows into your own notes. Fill in both descriptions and the question still open. Nothing is uploaded or scored.
